The "highway" at five am doesn't matter if you're stuck in a bottleneck of gridlocked cars as soon as you hit the outskirts of town. You're looking at 1.5-2 hours minimum from 50km out of town to here. Kompong Speu to center of town is a nightmare, so are NR1, 3 and so on. Would be a bit faster on a motorbike, but still not exactly an attractive option.

To do 100k on a motorcycle anywhere in Cambodia you must have a death wish
And if that's what you do coming and going to work every day I'd say slow down or you won't be here long

I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Theoretically...
Now, here in the practical world, it’s a very different story. It’s not how fast you go for a short time that counts.
It’s actually quite a task to achieve 60kmh as an average speed on a longish journey, here, outside of busy times.

My comment was a serious joke...Freightdog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:07 amTheoretically...

Of course, in KOW, legal max speed I ever seen is 80, in city and suburb mostly 40 - 60, however, in practice, it is normal to see car with plate number associate with government to drive around 100/H even inside city.Freightdog wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:34 pmSeriously?Adam Xie wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 10:59 amMy comment was a serious joke...Freightdog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 7:07 amTheoretically...

Sadly, at any speed over 15kmh, the front of the car eventually starts making horrible grinding noises...
