Yong, I know that this is an old post, but would it be possible to download the latest software update to the iPhone 11 and do the reshoot comparison again?
Apparently the update activated the analytical engine that greatly improves the iPhone photo quality, especially in low light or dark conditions.

My cheap Canon point and shoot takes much better pics.

If you are happy to believe that, then by all means.Marty wrote:My cheap Canon point and shoot takes much better pics.

As well https://mashable.com/feature/apple-ipho ... ax-review/
The cheap point and shoot cameras have inferior hardware (aka smaller sensors and lenses) to the iPhone 11 Pro series.
Where the point and shoot cameras stand out - specialty cameras (underwater, rugged adventure - think GoPro), higher end - starting at $750 and up cameras have superior hardware, and built in telephoto bridge lens cameras costing $800 and up.
Re: iPhone 11 to be Launched at Sep/10 Event
Thank you for the links New Kid, it's all very interesting. I'd still rather have my $100 Canon for its 8x optical zoom and macro capability and for the nightclub photography that I like to do. And if it's lost or stolen, I can easily buy another, not so with an eye-phone. Eye- anything is way overpriced too, if I were to use a phone camera, I'd choose the Android counterpart. Thanks again for your input!
