Five Indian Men Arrested for Attacking a Pakistani in Siem Reap
Cambodia Breaking News (Siem Reap): On August 31, 2019, at 10:00 pm, the Department of Investigation and Procedure (Immigration Department), arrested a group of five Indian men for attacking a Pakistani man in Sangkat Svay Dongkorm, Siem Reap.
The suspects were identified as AMANPREET SINGH, 28 years old, ANKUSH , 22 years old, DASS GOPAL, 35 years old, SUKHDEEP SINGH, 39 years old, and SUKHDEEP SINGH, 39 years old. The victim was identified as MASIH KASHIF, a Pakistani national.
The police said at 2:30 pm, on August 31, the suspects beat and attacked the victim with their belts, at Tanai hotel in Siem Reap. The police went to the scene and detained the suspects immediately.
Mr. Kert Vannareth, Siem Reap prosecutor, has decided to detain the suspects at Siem Reap Police station for questioning and case preparation.

The Thais have a saying "if you come across a snake and a khaek (Indian) at the same time, kill the khaek first". My Lao wife says they have the same saying in Laos. I wonder if the Khmers have a similar expression? Terribly racist and ethnophobic of course, but just wondering......

Growing up in Kenya, Indians were certainly hated. General consensus was that they would sell their own grandmother for a Dollar.
