It's good to see that the Pailin police are on the job.

Cambodia News (Pailin): On November 28, 2019, the Pailin minor crime police division cracked down on a case of gambling in a house of a 43-year-old man, named Chu Vibot, in Toul Lvea village, Pailin city. 4 people were caught red-handed at the crime scene and detained by the police officers for playing cards for money.

The suspects were identified as Soeun Khun, a 60-year-old woman, Ren Mao, a 40-year-old woman, Ly Phos, a 35-year-old woman, and Chu Vibot, a 43-year-old man, the house owner. The police confiscated a box of cards, two plates, 23,500 riels in cash, (about US$6), and two mats that were used for sitting on to play cards.

The four people were released and sent home after getting re-educated and agreeing to stop playing cards again.

Have you ever seen a Cambodian play cards when it isn't for money? Mere presence of a deck of cards is evidence enough for the competent authorities.
