COVID rule-defying gamblers busted in Sihanoukville
Despite the authorities attempts to maintain COVID rules and regulations in Sihanoukville, it appears that some gamblers are defying guidelines in order to maintain their gambling habits.
Yesterday, a group of gamblers in the Rolok Dam area of Sihanoukville – an area deemed to be “high risk” by authorities – were shut down by authorities who caught them defying rules prohibiting gatherings.
To add insult to injury, the gamblers were not wearing masks – thus defying the 3 health rules laid down by PM HE.
According to Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police Commissioner Major General Chuon Narin, the gamblers will now be taken to headquarters to enforce administrative and health rules.
