Australian JUSTIN KING Asks Cambodian Immigration to Send Him Home
Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On August 22, 2019, at 10 am, a 51-year-old Australian man, JUSTIN KING, went to the investigation and procedure office of the Immigration Department asking for help to send him back to Australia.
The Australian man came to Cambodia as a tourist on August 29, 2018, through Poipet border from Thailand. Subsequently, he says he lost his passport and overstayed his visa. He doesn't have enough money to renew his visa, and he finished up by sleeping on the streets of Phnom Penh, so he decided to go to the Cambodian immigration authorities to ask them to send him home.
The overstaying Australian was duly detained by Cambodian immigration authorities, and his case will be processed following the legal procedure.

Absolutely no shame in asking for help when you need it. CEOCambodiaNews is the only pathetic case here, perhaps things might be better served if you just reported the news and kept your opinion out of it as your commentary of "good looking" "pathetic" "sexy" inserted into headlines often makes you appear rather juvenile and naive.

Does anyone commenting actually know the meanings of "pathetic" ? The primary meaning is "inspiring pity".

Those are the translated headlines from Cambodian news outlets. Personally, I like seeing the headlines and the Cambodian perspective.

^^ Fair enough but IIRC the original heading didn't have quotation marks around "pathetic"- that would be the best way to let us know they are translated headlines and not your own words.
And as for the meaning of the word that might be the primary definition but I would say that most people would associate the word with it's more pejorative informal meaning- "miserably inadequate"

Re: Australian JUSTIN KING Asks Cambodian Immigration to Send Him Home
Apart from its definition, the word often carries negative connotations toward the subject as if they're responsible or have brought upon their own demise through poor choices or shameful actions. "Pathetic" bears the burden of other negative undertones apart from its literal meaning, I think.John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 4:51 am Does anyone commenting actually know the meanings of "pathetic" ? Main question is why this qualifies as news? This is the best CEO has to offer? No barang died of a "heart attack" today? There was no moto run over by a drunken Chinese driver in a Lexus RX300? SHV did not flood today. No ladyboy fights on St. 136?
