It’s pretty weird for the guy to have some kids staying over his house without the parent. Anybody with any sense wouldn’t put themselves in the situation, particularly in Cambodia.

Either the guy is a pedo or an idiot, I’d say he’s both.

APLE has good intentions, but sometimes is overzealous. Some fathers of mixed race kids sometimes feel that they are being targeted, especially in a Phnom Penh where APLE has a large presence, vs. their wife’s village, where they are free to do things that father’s should do with their kids. Even kind hearted expats like Duncan are under the microscope in Cambodia.

There is no APLE actively spending big money to prevent Khmer kids from being exploited by Khmer. Almost all focus is exclusively on white foreigners.

What’s the ideal solution? I dunno. I’m just an eternal tourist in the Kingdom of Wonder.

They need to be seen to be doing something, in order to get donations.

They sometimes falsely accuse people, and even they know they are making false accusations, but that shows they are active and brings in donations. To get money for themselves, they destroy people's lives.

Eric Erdmann posted a thread OTOF describing how he was being followed. Guess what they caught him and he was found guilty as soon as they checked his Far Cry directory on his computer containing child porn. The notion that APLE stalks innocent people is bullshit.

No one told me. It was in lots of news media.
