A visa programme would allow people from third nations to travel to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam wit

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

A visa programme would allow people from third nations to travel to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam wit

Post by Adam Xie »

Khmer Time:

The 5th Cambodia-Thailand Tourism Technical Working Group Meeting which held in Thailand’s Trat province over three days, the two countries agreed to work together to facilitate tourist travel, particularly by promoting the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Single Visa scheme.

The visa programme would allow people from third nations to travel to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam with a single visa.

Great news, if it could actually happen.

That would be amazing. But as above how would they handle, well, everything. I don't see how it could work at this current time, but it would be great to see it happen.
Still here, in country...

Central American nations El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua have a similar visa called the CA-4 - but yeah, they've been talking about one for SEA for years.

This single visa program is announced every couple of years and it has yet to be implemented.

Oh. Thank you for clarifying. That would indeed be convenient to have.

In Asia it is all about getting money. When they realize they have to share visa money with other countries, they probably wont implement it.
