Can the GFC Mk II wait for Donald Trump?

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Where does this 75 percent come from?
That is clearly wrong by almost double.
I provided a citation.
36 percent approve.

"Where does this 75 percent come from?"

Possibly the war time backing you alluded to.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

I am talking about those eligible voters who did not vote against Bush 2nd time around.
I stand corrected, 70%, Not 75%.

40% did not vote.
50% of those that did, voted for Bush.
So only 30% of all eligible voters cared enough to show up and vote against him.

Similarly; only 55.4% turned out last election, Trump got 50% of those >
ie 72% of eligible american voters who saw Trump in all his pre-election glory - did not vote against him.)

Washington Post; Why did Trump win? In part because voter turnout plunged.

In my view, it will be the same scenario next time around -
The rest of the world, Versus, the 75% of americans who are satisfied with an idiot.

(i don't mean to insult any of my american friends - i just truly despair about this)"

Why not? That 75% deserve vilification.
Taabarang,

I don't know if someone else has mentioned before but you can quote from another member's post by selecting the inverted commas button from the desktop here:

If you're on your mobile, you'll see 3 little dots instead which you can expand and then you'll see the inverted commas button.

Hope this helps. That way, the member you're quoting will get a notification and other members will see who you're quoting.

cheers :)

Thanks but I know that already. I choose not to do so since many posts are combined not infrequently into one huge clusterfuck. Thus I pick and choose that which interests me.

I trust you will notice I place quotation. marks around that to which I am referring.

Italy is too big to go bust, it's the fifth or sixth largest economy in the world, ok eighth, I see the Frogs have squeezed in there. The US just needs to raise interest rates, the value of the dollar will drop and voila! Instant shrinkage of the debt.
I missed soemthing here. currencies usually go UP if interest rates rise, not down, cos everyone wants the currency to get the higher interest bonds. thats what drove the dollar after baby trump took over

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
....I don’t want to Win for myself, I only want to Win for the people. The New
@FoxNews
is letting millions of GREAT people down! We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!

his only remaining gambit is war with Iran

I think Trump should be worried about this:

China is blunting the blows of Trump's trade war and just grabbed an even bigger share of global exports
  • China’s economy is holding up well during the trade war – and the country has even managed to grab an even bigger share of global exports.
  • Two main factors are helping China blunt the impact of tariffs, Julian Evans-Pritchard, senior China economist at Capital Economics, said in a note.
  • One is a weaker yuan. Another reason: China is shipping US-bound exports to other Asian countries to circumvent the tariffs.
