Three killed in two wall collapses in Sihanoukville province
Three people were killed in two separate construction related mishaps in Sihanoukville. In the first incident, a man was killed when a wall collapsed at a brick factory in Pou Thoeung Village, Bit Trang Commune, Prey Nop District, Preah Sihahouk, following a heavy downpour last night.
Major General Chuon Narin, Preah Sihanouk provincial police chief, said the man was identified as a 45 year-old Chinese national Chia Qing Qing.
“The body has been sent to the provincial referral hospital, so that his relatives and friends could come to pick up for funeral rites,” he said.
In another incident, two construction workers, who were spouse, were killed when a fence collapsed in Village 2, Commune 1 in Sihanouk city on Thursday night.
“The couple built a small shelter near a brick wall. As a result of heavy rain, the wall collapsed and crushed them,” he said.
