IMO one guy does not just decide to import 100kgs of animal feed and MDMA. There are good chances that he was paid to collect the drugs under his name by a Chinese syndicate. Maybe they will bail him out eventually ?

I wouldn't bet on it. Mules are called mules because they are expendable.

These cases all take the same form. There are a few poor scruffy locals or foreigners caught red handed and they are sent away forever. I haven't seen any successful appeals.

These reports never allude to other collaborators, or the lifestyles of these major drug dealers, or their homes and cars or anything to support the authority's over simplistic case of possession equalling distribution and it being entirely autonomous and self contained.

There is never any mention of long-term surveillance and how they caught other parties in the conspiracy due to the comings and goings of others. If there was any, they would have others in the frame., but they never do. They police seem to just turn up and somehow they hit the jackpot.

The police can do some stupid things, but even they are not that stupid. They are all in on it, and they are corrupt from the top to the bottom and the media just trot out the identical story every time, with just the names, quantities altered.

Do these stories even constitute "News" in the normal meaning of the word? These people are just fall guys, set up to give the police a photo op and pretend they are actively enforcing drugs laws. It's pathetic.

If we cant stop drugs beeing everywhere in a "modern" country with all the staff and equipment in place (we cant even keep it out of our heavily garded prisons), how should they be able to stop the drug trade in a country where corruption is rampant?

Like Doc said its all windowdressing. No real efforts to find the big guys behind the flow.
