Oppenheimer wasn't worth watching at the cinema.
Too long, not so impressive explosion, and i heard the name "Oppenheimer" at least 300 times, or so it feels.
A big tv is enough ^^

A lot of people I respect have been rating/recommending it. I'm always against the grain though, absolutely can't stand Nolan. Won't be diving in for another 3 hours of his tripe, no way, no chance. Now, what was that trashy Indonesian horror film I haven't seen before...

Oh i can and i do, he usually produces great cinema entertainment, does a lot of efforts, visually, and i can't blame him to over simplify plots like many other visual movie makers. But this story is anchored into reality, there is less room for surprising stuff, but i expected the movie to be less about his state of mind and less about politics, more about the technicalities and the engineering side of it, so to speak.
And my ass still hurts a bit, 3 hours is doable with a gripping intrigue, but feels like a trap otherwise.
I don't go to the movies to support the author, i go there for a bigger visual slap in my face, which didn't happen.
Otherwise, i guess the film is well made, cast and all, only missing the spark of unknown i'm all about in a story ^^

Finally watched the Lil Peep documentary last night, really good, heartbreaking. RIP Gus, you were only here for a brief moment but your songs will stay with us forever.

Sadly, other distractions got in the way, and so- I’ve missed the run, here in PP. I guess the historical/technological aspect isn’t enough to keep it going, here. But I’m hoping to catch it.

every night i open Scrubs 2; go to movies and chose a year ( from 1900-2023)
Pick a movie and....
i missed so many in the 80-90's

just downloaded Oppenheimer off pirate bay, indian copy but
clear sound and good pic 1080
no way i could sit in a theater for 3 hours

the other night watched
