Police arrest 40 drug suspects in the capital
The Interior Ministry’s Anti-Drug Department police, in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Anti-Drug Police Department, yesterday arrested 40 people suspected of drug use and trafficking in the city.

Lieutenant General Sar Theth, municipal police chief, yesterday said that they were arrested at about 2am after police raided Phnom Penh Night Restaurant, which is located in Prampi Makara district’s Beung Prolit commune.

“They were arrested after police raided the Phnom Penh Night Restaurant in the early hours of Tuesday,” he said. “They were arrested while they were using drugs in the restaurant.”

Years ago in Vang Vieng an Australian was running a late night club in a concrete building/bunker at the old air strip when one night our shenanigans were interrupted by AK brandishing law keepers. We were searched with those "holding" (mostly opium) forced to cough up on-the-spot fines. Talking to the Australian a few days later he admitted he'd not paid his dues that month. It was suggested by some the bar owner was actually in cahoots with the law getting a kick backs as these busts seemed to happen regularly.
The idea that seeing the world is going from place to place to look at obvious things is an illusion natural to dull minds.
