Russian mafia wars in Sihanoukville (failed assassination)
Ostap Doroshenko, the son of the the Russian billionaire tycoon Nikolai Doroshenko survived an assassination attempt today.
His son, Ostap Doroshenko owner of Snake House in Sihanoukville was attacked in his car on his way to a meeting for his dad.
If you recall, a Russian national working at Snake House was arrested last month for hitting and killing a Cambodian student while driving drunk.
Nikolai Doroshenko had sent his son to meet with someone regarding compensation for the fatal accident last month.
On the way to the meeting Ostap Doroshenko was attacked by 2 unknown assailants (Sounds like the local papers are saying they were also Russian).
Ostap Doroshenko was hospitalized with a broken jaw.
Nikolai Doroshenko says it could be Sergei Polonsky, based on previous threats against his family, but he has no proof of that.
Ostap Doroshenko is a Russian with Cambodian citizenship and also works work the Cambodian Immigration Police.

Re: Russian Mafia Wars in Sihanoukville? (Failed Assassinati
You want weird go to the Snake house. I've seen the car around. They drive even worse than the Cambo's. Looks like just payback from the locals. To bad its not RIP. They buy the stupidest cars that are worthless on Cambo streets.
I went to the snake house and looked at their cars. One was a Cobra kit car. No one in his right mind buys a Cobra kit car with a 6 cyl Chevrolet engine and an automatic trans as the small block Ford V-8 is what goes in a Cobra kit car, (351cu.in small block bored/stroked to 427cu. in.)and a 4 or 5 speed stickshift (the right one would be a Ford Toploader 4-speed) Someone in Texas (sticker on car) sold them a POS. (I built show cars and kit cars in the US.) The other cars were low slung, high end sports cars well suited for the Cambo streets (not!)
There are about 5 houses around me with Russians. One group of Russians (two young couples) moved out (other Russians moved in a few weeks later.) The landlord found a big hole in the back yard and next to it was a piece of unexploded ordinance (bomb?), that they had found(bought?) and were trying to bury before they left. What were they going to do with old/unexploded ordinance? It would have taken out a couple houses around it and all my windows at least. The landlord in the usual Cambo manner just went down the street and tossed it over a fence into an empty field. Another party of Russians near me party and get stoned every night. Nothing wrong with that as it beats running locals over and buying police membership, but they never seem to work or do anything but smoke/get-stoned. Seems kind of a waste to me. Very weird people.
A few days ago a low sling Ferrari (probably driven by a Russian) tried to enter our compound. It couldn't make it over the speed bump at the entrance so the guy turned around and peeled out. Guess he was pissed off he could drive in and impress everyone with his penis-extender.
BTW/ The beat up guy picture. Looks like a fast draw pistol holster on his belt. Looks like he didn't draw fast enough. Probably bought the gun and didn't know which end the bullets came out of, just like not knowing anything about the cars they buy. Anyone with any brains and knows he is going to be setting (setting-duck) wears an under arm shoulder holster with the pistol in a horizontal position. You can even shoot someone without unholstering the gun if he/she is standing at the car window/door and you have a double-action pistol (Glock or like it)

'failed assasination attempt' is over the top isnt it ? to me failed assasination attempt would be someone with a bullet in their leg
a broken jaw sounds more like 'successful beating up attempt'

he is a citizen by virtue of being born in cambodia.
i don't get the hostility towards this guy.
snake house has saved numerous lives locally.
i highly doubt it is a profitable business.
credit where due!
