Greek Man Detained for Disturbing his Neighbors
Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On July 22, 2019, a Greek man was detained for disturbing his neighbors at a rented house in Banla Saeth village, Sangkat Khmounh, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
The story goes that the Greek man rented a house with a contract for six months and he paid two months' deposit. But after living in the rented house for a month, the man had a bad attitude. He was drunk every day and screamed so much that he disturbed the neighbors. So, the landlord called the police to detain the Greek man for reeducation.
According to the landlord, he decided to end the rental contract for the house, but the Greek man wanted to get the deposit money back. In the end, the landlord agree to give back the deposit to end the argument.

Re: Greek Man Detained for Disturbing his Neighbors
I'd scream too if some greasy fuck of a landlord tried to rinse me of six month's deposit.
He doesn't dress like a drunk or have the shape of a drunk.
Fair play for standing his ground.

It was a to months deposit and he lived there for a month before the landlord got tired of him being disruptive.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:58 pm I'd scream too if some greasy fuck of a landlord tried to rinse me of six month's deposit.

How in the world do you read an article like this and shout "Greasy fuck of a landlord!"

"Hello, Cambodian equivalent of 911, police chiefs son in laws granddaughter speaking, how can I help you?"
"There's a Greek man on my roof, he drank a beer last week"
"As there is not currently a single crime being committed in the entire Kingdom we will dispatch immediately"
"Please tell the first responders Tea will be served".

Thought he'd paid two months rent and a six month deposit.
Anyhow, the fact he got the deposit back speaks louder than any allegations against him.

Re: Greek Man Detained for Disturbing his Neighbors
In Cambodia they sometimes call the police over quite trivial things.
In one place I was staying they called the police to ask a tenant to leave. In Australia, the land lord would just tell the tenant.
