Keep your money in your socks and have sex and "massage" with your socks on. This is true, not a joke.

It happens all the time if you go to these 10.000riel or 20.000riel massage joints with a wallet full of cash. If you do this you deserve everything you get for your stupidity. I cannot think of anyone ever getting ripped off at a legit Massage spa

After your sex massage do you just pull the money out of your sock in front of her or do you go to the bathroom and pretend to pull it out from somewhere worse?

I think some of the posts on here are a bit harsh. The girl is a tourist so she can't have known that particular joint was dodgy. Most people are generally quite trusting until they get burnt like this so would assume two young friendly girls wouldn't rob you.
As for the amount well, 200 bucks is a lot of money to plenty of people and often you don't have much choice but to carry a fair bit of cash around if you're on the road. What other option? Leave it in a cheap guesthouse with no safe, or pay the bigger thieves at the bank international withdrawal fees every time you need another 20 bucks?
Sure, she's been a bit naive but I think it's pretty unfair to judge her through your seasoned expat eyes.

Indeed. This could have happened to the Pope.

This particular massage shop does this with (almost) every newbie in town, or even expats who have been here a while. Police have visited them on numerous occasions for re-education purposes. After each incident masseuses are being transported to other places and brought back afterwards. Late at night a colorful licensed plate SUV drops by with madam in charge collecting the $5 massages revenue. I am afraid this will continue till the bitter end.
