Finnish Man Held for No Passport and Causing Confusion in Public

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Someone sent us this to better explain the background story of this guy:

Hi there!

Let me first start off by saying that Cambodia is a wonderful country, interesting history and kind warm people.

This whole Seppo thing started as a thing on Finnish 4chan/b/ called ylilauta and subforum sekalainen.

He is a junky from a middle class family, no other reason for taking drugs than to get high.

He started posting his drug fuelled adventures from Helsinki to Estonia and eventually to Poland, where he got mugged out of his money, while being stoned of course.

He faithfully wrote to ylilauta sekalainen about his drug adventures, then he met a friend with money in Prague and then they took a plane to Thailand.

Thailand was not enough for a pair of junkies, so they decided to enter Cambodia and they tried every drug known to man.

Mind you that he actively wrote about his adventures to ylilauta sekalainen and he broadcasted drug fueled videos on periscope and twitch.

So this is the guy you made an article about, small time petty junky from a good background, but who loved drugs too much.

Cheers!

It really does have a Reindeerspotting vibe to it. Except this one doesn't seem to have robbed a bank or hang himself.

Hello Finnish brothers! Mustalainen perkele

Reading the story he sounds more like 'big time junky' to me :(
