@PSD-Kiwi what specific documentation do they like to see at the airport when arriving and requesting a K-visa for the sprog?

Just a certified Khmer birth certificate? Will that do?

It is has been reported that you can have a new K-type Visa transferred to new passport without needing to leave the country, however more recent reports are that the DoI are not doing this and are making applicants obtain an Exit Visa and start fresh.
I was told in 2018 by the staff at the immigration office this would be possible by the time my sons passport expires.. In 2023.

A khmer last name and coming with my khmer parents was enough for me to get my k visa.

Yea, birth cert is more than enough. If the kids with their mother, and/or looks Cambodian then usually even that's enough.

I definitely don't doubt this, however it's best to be prepared. You don't want to turn up at the airport for your flight and get denied.

Thanks bud. Mom's not coming with us this time. But I'll make sure to have the B/C with me.

Our girl looks more Caucasian than Cambodian. I remember one Water Festival we were all walking around together and some Cambodian woman started talking to my wife and they started laughing. Turns out she thought my wife was the nanny for our daughter and not her mom.

It happened once more at Aeon.

My boy looks more to be a 50/50 even split....gotta love genetics, lol.

Thanks Kayve.

I can give a more up to date update on that.
Yesterday, my 2 sons and I flew out of Pochentong to Australia via Kuala Lumpur. My kids (Khmer) were travelling on new Oz passports. Their K Visa was in their old expired Oz passports. At no time were we asked for an Exit visa. (I didn't have one anyway).

And, to answer someone else's question in another thread, At no time was I asked for a Permission for kids to travel document signed by my wife. (I didn't have one of them either).
