What's happening in your life?
Re: What's happening in your life?
Doesn’t that happen to pretty much every thread? It will die out when it gets boring and people lose interest.

The fateful flight on 11/11/11 that delivered Pissontheroof to Cambodia....... Fast forward to 60 second mark to see him wearing a military medal on the flight, pinned scruffily on his shirt by a nappy pin.pissontheroof wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 4:45 pmWhen I came here on 11/11/11 my doctor told me I had about a year to liveJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 4:15 pm Why do you have so many relationships with diseased, meth-head hookers? 1. This aging carcass has been nicotine free for almost six months.
2. I've got a great new apartment in the city which I like - it's a quiet place with respectful, interesting, and friendly neighbors. I forgot how much a nice aesthetic and one's living environment contributes to an overall sense of well being.
3. Myself and two others became firm friends after first meeting in Nepal fifteen years ago with us all now strewn around the globe. The three of us have decided to meet in Pokhara this October which pleases me enormously - they are both my good dudes.
4. I had the rather uncomfortable feeling this past year or so that travel had lost a lot of its appeal, I found this a bizarre state to be in. It must have been some type of Covid hangover as Skyscanner, XE, and Booking.com are now reinstated bookmarks on my laptop.
May your turtle breeding be particularly bountiful this year.

Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

Re: What's happening in your life?
Back in the UK having prostate cancer treatment (early stage, so should be able to sort it all out). Might have a sex-change surgary while the docs are pulling out my prostate!
Then back to Mandalay to teach at an international school and continue my small educational charity work for kids who can't afford to go to school or private school.
Things are hotting up in Myanmar with the civil war, so I guess schools will take any teacher that they can get LoL (This will be my 4th time teaching in Myanmar since 2012).

You don't mention smoking status on a CV, that's funny.

Re: What's happening in your life?
I helped a friend get a better job. We worked together at a different university and then he went to work at a private high school. 2-3 years later, I recommended him for a full-time position at my current school.
Was happy to help a buddy.
