We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Cambodia Breaking News (Siem Reap): On June 30, 2019, at 4:10 am, a 34-year-old Chinese man, SHA PENGCHENG, fell from the 5th-floor building of Royal Crown Hotel in Wat Bo village, Sangkat Sala Kamrouk, Siem Reap.

The victim arrived as a tourist in Siem Reap, Cambodia, on June 25, and checked in at the Royal Crown hotel. According to the victim's friend, on June 29, at 6 pm, he and the victim went to drink at Pub Street, and then continued on to a KTV until 3 am, when they returned to the hotel.
About an hour later the hotel staff came to tell him that his friend had fallen from the 5th-floor build into the swimming pool. He went downstairs to see the victim and took him to the hospital. The man was wounded, but his life is not in danger.

Nobody understands the reason for the fall yet. The police are investigating.

Russians have a proverb: if there were brains, there would be a concussion.
Probably, the meaning of meaning for the English-speaking incomprehensible. :)

Considering the hotel pictured only appears to have four floors, he did pretty well to fall from the fifth floor.

Depends on which country you come from.
Numbering
Floor numbering is the numbering scheme used for a building's floors. There are two major schemes in use across the world. In one system, used in the majority of European countries, the ground floor is the floor literally at ground level, usually having no number, and identified sometimes as "G" or "0". The next floor up is assigned the number 1 and is the first floor, and so on. The other system, used primarily in the United States and Canada, counts the bottom floor as the first floor, the next floor up as the second floor, and so on.
