Driver Goes Berserk and Attacks a Phnom Penh Traffic Officer
We all have days where everything goes wrong.
Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On June 23, 2019, at 9:45 am, a 34-year-old man who has not been identified, was arrested after attacking a traffic police officer, as well as a local newshound and other folks at the scene, which occurred at Kbal Thnol traffic lights, in Sangkat Chak Angreng Leu, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.
Before the incident, the suspect was driving a Camry car, plate no.PP2AB-7691, down street 271 when he was stopped by the traffic police for questioning. Suddenly, the suspect got out of the car and began screaming and attacked the police officer and nearby people, until his wife managed to calm him down.
The suspect's family said that the man was a drug addict, and they have requested that the police keep him in detention and send him to a drug rehabilitation center.
