Husband Burns the House and Climbs on the Roof in Police Stand-Off

Cambodia Breaking News, Phnom Penh: At 9am this morning, June 19, 2019, at a new house in Andong 3 Village, Preak Pnov District, 38-year-old man Born Phalla set fire to his house. When his wife called the police, he climbed on to the roof and refused to come down.
The man is a long time drug addict according to his wife, Chong Soklaph, 42, and he has spent eight months in jail for drugs. The couple have three children.

After the arrival of the Phnom Penh Military Police, the suspect threatened to strangle himself with a piece of wire, and it took the police three hours of negotiations to get the suspect to come down.

The suspect was then arrested at around noon today and taken away for questioning by the authorities.
