My wife just told me that it is indeed the missing woman from Kandal market, she leaves behind a 17 year old daughter, was a widow herself. Apparently the murderer was a female friend of the victim, at this stage unclear what the motive was, but it was brutal - the murderer completely dismantled her body and seemingly had some of the body parts in her refrigerator.

As far as I know, her husband only helps promote the place, but that's it.

It sounds like the police have already spoken with him, and it seems he had nothing at all to do with this horrific mess. He happens to be a good friend of mine (and several others, I'm sure) for many years, and I just spoke with him very briefly to make sure he was ok, and I think he's in as much shock (ok, MORE shock) as any of us, and I really hope him and the rest of the family can get through this.

I've eaten there a few times and loved the food, and this whole thing is a total 'WTF?' scenario of the worst kind. It's headline news in the local Khmer press, so we have published it with as many facts available as of right now, but are still waiting for the police to make a public/official statement about their investigation, which, based on video footage, has been pretty thorough.

I'm really in total shock by all of this.
