Not so unusual if your wife is habitually chopping up animals. It is a restaurant, after all.IraHayes wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 9:38 am I may have missed it but where exactly is the husband now?
Because i find it hard to believe that while he had no part in the actual murder he was oblivious to the crime in the immediate aftermath.
A dead body is butchered in your house.... its not a 15 bedroom mansion with servants quarters... its a town house and not a very big one and you are not aware of it??

Except that, despite all the chopping, there were no new pork ribs or BBQ items on the menu. Well, not that we know...Not so unusual if your wife is habitually chopping up animals. It is a restaurant, after all.

Preparing meat is nothing like butchering a whole animal (or in this case a person) there is a certain smell when you butcher an animal.... and yes i understand she froze the body but given the size of the freezer and the time frame was the body frozen through? Or partly frozen?cptrelentless wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 2:01 pmNot so unusual if your wife is habitually chopping up animals. They sold ribs, chicken, chicken fried steak. none of those requires butchering a whole animal. I am not familiar with the layout of the house (went to the old one in Toul Sleng), was it a shop house style? restaurant, kitchen, toilet and a room at the back (presumably the kids room) and other bedrooms upstairs where the adults and other kids slept? The story said she knocked him out and chopped through the night and slept in the day so was the restaurant open in the day?IraHayes wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 2:59 pmPreparing meat is nothing like butchering a whole animal (or in this case a person) there is a certain smell when you butcher an animal.... and yes i understand she froze the body but given the size of the freezer and the time frame was the body frozen through? We’ve had some gruesome discussions on this forum but far out - this one is just over the top horrendous.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

Well to be fair it was the most horrendous crime and the way it was orchestrated was particularly gruesome. So yes... any discussion of the crime and the perp is going to be treading on some pretty gruesome territory.

It's the most horrendous crime in a long time. The other ones that stand out were a while back, one was the Frenchman and all his kids who were murdered in Kampong Speu and put in his car which was pushed into a pond and took months for the competent authorities to locate. Then there was the American who went crazy on ice and killed his girlfriend, then hid her under his bed in BKK1. When the smell got too bad he tried to hide it by setting the corpse on fire, then jumped out a window and broke his leg when the cops arrived. He killed himself after being sentenced to 10 years. The Dutch woman who was killed in Tonle Bassac, and her child who died later in Bangkok as a result of the attack.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

I think you'll find that the Frenchman was a murder-suicide. He left his head in the boot. Case closed.John Bingham wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 7:40 pmIt's the most horrendous crime in a long time.
