Chinese Man Arrested for Last Year's Kidnapping in Siem Reap
Cambodia News (Siem Reap): On June 7, 2019, at 08:10 am, according to the order of Siem Reap court, the immigration police arrested a 32-year-old Chinese man, LYU FEIFEI, at Siem Reap airport. He was wanted on charges of a kidnapping, or the unlawful detention for the purpose of extortion, that took place on 12-13 July 2018 in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey Province.
Mr. Kert Vannareth, the prosecutor of Siem Reap court, decided to detain the suspect at the provincial police station before sending him to court. The Chinese man was due to appear before a judge this morning, 8 June.
