Quote from PPP article:
Only in Cambodia could the owner not be known to any of the authoritiesWe need to investigate the case first. We are aware the public would like to know who the club’s owner is, like with the raid on the Rock [Entertainment Centre], where the owner was an Oknha.

Fine outstanding citizens in a club at 2am on a week night. Obviously few of them actually work for a living. Do barangs go there? I think not.

whats the big fucking deal?
i am sure you visit any high profile clubs, ANYWHERE, you will find a certain % of the clients are on or in possession of drugs and possibly holding guns
BUT as this is SE Asia
I read this as a shake down and someone did not get their envelope on time

Judging by the face from the other photo, I think the dog found sausage not crack.Brody wrote:

Totally agree. As do the statistics. Nightclubs are raided all over the world, all of the time and almost always, drugs are found and arrests are made, because drugs are illegal. Nothing new there.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:48 pm i am sure you visit any high profile clubs, ANYWHERE, you will find a certain % of the clients are on or in possession of drugs and possibly holding guns
So, you're saying that unlike the rest of the world, authorities in SE Asia couldn't care less about drugs?phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:48 pm BUT as this is SE Asia

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

UPDATE
Phnom Penh: The owner of the raided nightclub, Luxurious Club, has been identified as Nguyen Thanh Tu, a Vietnamese-Chinese man. However, police are still searching to locate him and he has not yet been arrested.

The big deal is 400 people being arrested, I've never heard of such a big number. The other big deal is that these busts are netting huge amounts of narcotics, 50 kg in Rock, 10kg in Miami Club, and whatever big amount here too. It's not just about a few clubbers getting high.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 6:48 pm whats the big fucking deal?

Club drug bust sees 17 sent to court
11 June 2019
Following the arrest of 408 people who tested positive for drugs at a raid on Phnom Penh’s Luxurious nightclub on Saturday, 17 suspects will be sent to Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Tuesday.
Most of the rest were sent to drug rehabilitation centres, while the foreigners are to be deported from the country. The club’s owner, meanwhile, remains at large.
Only 17 are going to court
