Siem Reap, Cambodia Breaking News: Siem Reap police received a report that a foreigner died at about 9:45 am on June 6, 2019, at Room 09, in a guesthouse in Chong Kaosou village, Sangkat Slor Kram, Siem Reap town, Siem Reap province.
Police say that the victim, IMAI HIROSHI, a retired 75-year-old Japanese man, passed away in his room. On the basis of a study by senior medical authorities and Dr. Y Cheng Chhour, it was concluded that the victim died of a heart attack.
Currently, the victim's body has been temporarily placed at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh, waiting for the decision of the deceased's family and the Japanese Embassy. RIP.

At 75 years old, couldn't they just say that he died of old age?

For a typical Japanese person, age 75 is quite young to die. It's geriatric by Cambodian expat standards though.

They could just say he died, nothing mysterious about someone popping their clogs at that age. It's the young-uns that are dying prematurely that concern me more.
