Best bakery in Phnom Penh: Gomez

Post by Bibi »

There is a Japanese guy who opened a bakery a couple of years back called Gomez Bakery (yeah, I know, doesn't sound Japanese at all!), street 88 not far from Raffles hotel. Easy to find with Google map. He makes excellent bread, including special bread 3 times a week (sesame, cereal etc.), delicious croissants and pain-au-chocolat, ciabata, etc. Very confidential shop, no marketing, only known by word-of-mouth in the French community. He makes small quantities every day so don't go too late or it will be empty. For me the best bread in Phnom Penh from far, much better than Eric Kaiser.
