Poipet City Crackdown on Two Chinese Kidnappers and Relief for Four Chinese Hostages

(Banteay Meanchey): On the morning of May 27, 2019, it was confirmed that on May 24, 2019, the Ministry of Defense's anti-crime department received a complaint from Chinese national, ZHANG Jianzhong, a 54 year old male. With the help of Poipet Inspector of the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Office on 25 May 2019, the police then opened an investigation into a major kidnapping for ransom by Chinese nationals, with Chinese victims confined to a rental home in Poipet.

As a result, the force rescued 4 hostages safely and captured the two criminals. The first suspect, Wang Daodong, a 49-year-old man, holds a Chinese passport, number E0********, and the second man, JIANG FENG, 38, does not have a passport.

The hostage victims were identified as:
* First: Chinese man Zhang Dongwei
* Second: Li chenlyin, 56-year-old
* Third: CUI XIAOBO, a 35-year-old
* Fourth: LI WEN ZHENG, 38 years old.

The Department has dispatched the suspects and evidence to the prosecution of the Banteay Meanchey Court.
