Even non-lawyers know the consequences of molesting children. You can go to prison for years and then you're mostly unemployable for the rest of your life. Doctors molest children too. The risk isn't any greater for a lawyer.

Also, for what it's worth, this guy may not have been actively practicing law for the last few years. His address of record with the State Bar of Florida is a P.O. Box and his Facebook posts suggest he's been doing a lot of traveling.

An out of work lawyer traveling around the world and going to Cambodia multiple times? It's creepy.

Sure, because you have an image in your head of lawyers being exemplary, fine and upstanding members of society. Some are, some are not, they are human. You also have this idea that because a westerner is involved, it probably means that one of those cheating, low-down locals is actually to blame. You can't hide your blatant racism behind a mask of understanding the language and people better than anyone else anymore, you are just a basic bigot.

Lawyers are shady as f**k people just like everybody else. There was a thread OTOF about some "Grim Reaper Lawyer" that was over here doing shady stuff, as I recall. It was a pretty crazy story. I understand "Innocent until proven guilty", but just because he's a lawyer doesn't put him on a higher moral level.

"he molested the girls several times", so why nothing happened after the first or second time????? Maybe the parents of the kids wanted some (more) money from the bastard for shut up or whatever and he refused to pay (that much). SO after that they were pissed and turned to the heat.

Why think of maybes this or that? if your maybe is correct, he is a fiend and deserves his punishment in KOW and when he returns to America. 4 children and more than one encounter? POS

Those girls look like they are like 12. I honestly hope he rots. As for him being a lawyer really as sad as it is a profession doesn't guarantee good behavior. My sister once told me she got out of a ticket (driving drunk, pot in the car, out past curfew) because she told a cop she knew he was sleeping with an underage girl 17-year-old and he was a 20 something-year-old cop. There are over 7 billion people so you know there has to be a lot of a@@h$%s. I am curious is Cambodia's prisons like the States where pedophiles are scum that very bad thing tends to happen to? Is there a Child Protective Services type of thing here?

Not to generalize of course, Dentists, Plumbers, Tow Truck Drivers, Parking Authorities, Air Con Repair Guy, there are many professions that require someone to be in difficulty in order to be valuable, there are many professions that are not held in high esteem.

Is there a Child Protective Services type of thing here
several, some have foreign associates from the RCMP, the FBI, and the Australian Federal Police who investigate their citizens involved in criminal activities in KOW.
