Homeless Woman Found Lying Dead on St 51, Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: Local people were shocked to find the body of a homeless woman lying on the pavement on Street 51, 154 Street, Phsar Thmey III, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
A witness said that she found the woman at 2:30 pm on May 16, 2019, lying down on the pavement in front of a hairdresser shop. When she realized the woman was dead, she called the police, and they came to take the body to Tuol Sisavon pagoda for traditional funeral rites.

I dont know this person, or what happened, but if you look how skinny she is, she may have died of starvation.

It would have been nice if someone had met her when she was young enough, and taken her to an orphanage, where she could have got a good education, then a good job, and had a happy life.

I know, it is not always that simple. But there are people who dont have opportunities that others have.

For those who dont like the word orphanage, lets say boarding school.

I noticed that of course, but I would disagree with your prognosis. I am by no means a health professional but I've lived in this place a long time and I would assume from many similar scenarios the following.

The woman wasn't starving, she became malnourished.
The woman had an underlying condition such as HIV.
The woman was suffering from Tuberculosis, Dysentery, Malaria, Hepatitis or any other serious disease.
The woman was likely either mentally impaired or addicted to drugs or both.
The woman was once a child with all sorts of promises ahead, but so much can go wrong.

This woman had HIV and scabies, among other things. She was living on borrowed time for quite some time.
