CEO Meetup

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

There was plenty of pizza, there’s probably still leftovers.
Thank you Olive & Olive for all the pizzas.

I've only been to one "meetup" before (something like 5 or 6 years ago, I think at the Garage Bar), but I've found in general a lot more enjoyable to have a 2-4 person get together organized off to the side or what have you just on the fly. Just put it out there "Phnom Penh Thmey or BKK 1 meetup", or just PM each other and organize, it's not that hard. To me, it's a lot more interesting and you get to know the people better that way. At the big meetup, it's often so noisy, crowded, and when you do meet people, it's for a short time and that's it. Still fun don't get me wrong, but for me I like the little settings better.

Not saying there isn't a place for them, but it's not like you have to wait for a meetup to crawl out of your hole and see the outside world.
