Prey Veng, Cambodia News: A terrible case of family murder occurred on April 19, 2019 at the home of the victim, located in Prey Roung Village, Prey Veng Province. That night, Leng Huon, 23, was having a party and drinking with three friends under the family house, playing music on his iphone.

After midnight, the man's father, Leng Sao, came downstairs to tell the men to keep the noise down, and he accidentally trod on the iphone. The son went into a mad rage, and struck his father with an axe, killing him instantly. He then fled the scene and went on the run until 4:30am when he was taken into custody by police.

Neighbors said that the father was very poor and that the son was a habitual drunkard.

The story has been picked up a UK tabloid newspaper in search of sensation.

A father was allegedly axed to death by his own son after he stepped on his iPhone during a boozy house party.

Leng Sao, 50, was reportedly attacked by his 23-year-old son Leng Huon after a night of drinking and playing loud music with friends at the family home.

Local police Captain Chuon Samnan said Huon dropped his iPhone on the ground just outside the house in Prey Veng Province in Southern Cambodia.
His father came out of his bedroom because he could not sleep and then stepped on the phone.
Huon is said to have shouted at his father, who in turn kicked his son in the back during the argument over the phone.

Samnang said: "He then took the axe and hacked his father on the head, neck and chest, instantly killing him."
