JC Airlines launch Sihanoukville - Bangkok route

April 27, 2019 JC (Cambodia) International Airlines will launch "Sihanohkville=Bangkok" route. Four Flights per week on Mon, Tues, Thur & Sat.

Sihanohkville=Bangkok（17:10—18:30）
Bangkok=Sihanohkville（19:30—20:45）

Will be interesting to know the mix of people who will be on this route..

Thais coming for the casino action? Chinese adding another leg to their holidays? Business people for the special economic zone?

KL-SHK flight has been quite equal mix of Malaysians, Chinese and westeners. The KL route has actually brought quite a bit of Malaysians tourists to SHK and to the islands.

Thai AirAsia to Start Bangkok-Sihanoukville Route

Thai AirAsia is to start direct service from Don Mueang airport to the Cambodian beach town of Sihanoukville.

The no-frills airline will offer four weekly flights on the route from July 1. It is the third Cambodian destination for the airline after Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

Why would anyone from Bangkok want to go to Sihanoukville? I guess it's the easiest way to get the Chinese there via shirt layover?

Also, I thought JC had gone down under. Or was that another airline?

You would be surprised how much demand there is. And it's growing. AirAsia's KL-SHK flights has been almost full most of the time too.

JC didn't go under. It was Bassaka that ended their scheduled flights last year and Small Planet that shut down completely but I think they didn't have normal scheduled operations at all.

The untouched beach of Ream is located in the Ream National Park. Take Route 4 to the Airport road 18km north of town. Turn right, go 9km to the ocean. The beach to the right is long and narrow and frequented more by fishermen than tourists. Behind the beach is a mangrove swamp, which attracts a wide variety of tropical birds. The beaches to the left nearer the Naval Base now have a few vendors selling drinks and renting tubes. There is a small $5 per night guesthouse run by the National Park. Check at the park HQ opposite the entrance to the airport.

The Ream Beach in Sihanoukville is the perfect place that takes you away from the crowded life of the town. Located on the outskirts it is almost a haven for nature lovers. It brings to you the best of creation and will surely captivate you to come back to it again and again.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t create that route for nature lovers.
