Your Prostate Health.
I've heard that most men will suffer some prostate problems later in life. As it enlarges, the flow of urine slows and it takes longer to pee, is one.
Prostate cancer is common with men, although they say it moves so slowly that more often than not, the man would die of something else before that.
In another thread yesterday, someone posted that frequent ejaculation would reduce the risk of prostate cancer, and left me thinking it would generally be healthier, which makes sense.
I never thought of it before. We often hear, "its good for the liver' or "its good for the heart" so what I want to ask is; is there a good way to keep our prostate healthy, and is daily ejaculation one of them?
If so, I guess my prostate will out live me.

Re: Your Prostate Health.
Explainable like this.
A pond of water, with no fresh water going in and no old water going out will eventually become stagnant and poisonous to life. You need the old water to go out and fresh water to go in.
You body is the same. Fresh air goes in, old air goes out.
Fresh water goes in , old urine goes out.
Fresh food goes in , old food goes out.
It's obvious that if the secretions in the prostate stay there for too long and are not replaced with fresh stuff there is going to be problems there eventually.

Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: Your Prostate Health.
I don't have sources in front of me to cite, but I've read over the past year that just taking a biopsy sample for prostate cancer is unnecessarily medieval and can in itself trigger latent cancer. Further, the treatment of prostate cancer is so radical that current practice is to leave all but the most threatening prostate cancer alone to run it's course because, as you commented, the majority of men are likely to live a normal life before it becomes an issue when assessed against risk of identification and treatment.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2019 11:40 pm I've heard that most men will suffer some prostate problems later in life. I've also read that regular ejaculation minimises the risk of prostate cancer and has other health benefits, although I don't suggest we start a health club based on this.
Anecdote: when living in a very remote mining town, a good friend of mine was the mine doctor and also a minister of religion. It was an unfortunate requirement of his doctoral role to provide the prostate exam for ALL mines employees. The miners promptly decided he was homosexual because he constantly had his finger up other mens' dates. The same men were not burdened with an overabundance of intelligence, as they didn't allow for the good doctor also having his finger up all of the mines womens' dates as well, or notice his ever-growing family and very happy wife. TL;DR - miners are often idiots.
Edit: changed all occurrences of "prostrate" to "prostate." Sigh.

Yep, I can vouch that the biopsy is medieval..won't go into the gory details but at the time (2013), I was told that was the only definitive way they had to detect and locate cancer in the prostate. Fortunately, it came up negative for me.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 12:51 pmI've read over the past year that just taking a biopsy sample for prostate cancer is unnecessarily medieval and can in itself trigger latent cancer. Since then, I bookmarked this which suggests a less invasive method is available via MRI. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/274625.php
A friend of mine was diagnosed at 55 with prostate cancer back in 2011. His urologist came up with a few options.. I don't remember the details of each option but my friend chose the one that involved total removal of the cancer..I remember him saying 'I want it out of my body'. To my knowledge the surgery was successful and the cancer has not returned. However, and despite being prescribed viagra and cialis for12 mths, he is now impotent. So, now he takes injections to get an erection and has to keep the medicine in the fridge. His only other option is a penile implant. Another article I bookmarked from 2010 https://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/h ... 4cd26391c5

Re: Your Prostate Health.
Here's the clincher - the sample alone can render you impotent and/or incontinent. The numbers of this happening are staggeringly high, Google "prostate cancer erectile dysfunction".clutchcargo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:59 pmYep, I can vouch that the biopsy is medieval..won't go into the gory details but at the time (2013), I was told that was the only definitive way they had to detect and locate cancer in the prostate. I love women and breasts (I'm actually a closet lesbian) but it's way past time that the money and attention put into breast cancer detection and treatment was shared with men's cancer, as 'medieval' really is the only word for it.
