skin cancer doctor?
skin cancer doctor?
Anyone have experience with skin cancer doctors anywhere in the COW. Its not easy to have much faith in the medical systems reputation and melanoma isn't a good one to gamble on getting good care. Otherwise I guess a trip to Thailand is in order. Well that's easier than a trip back to Oz anyway. Ta for any advice.

At the bottom of this page, you'll see a link to a thread I started 3 years ago. I don't think there was a definitive answer to the question, but it may help.

@Old8404 , is he the Dermatologist that I've heard about?
You obviously recommend him, so I might pay him a visit too.

As mentioned earlier: Dr. Mey Sithach has provided me excellent (US grade A) service. I see him about every six months for skin cancers. Occasionally he will send a biopsy to lab for examination. Personally calls in a couple days with results.
Speaks English, great sense of humor.

Very much appreciated Old8404. I'll certainly go and check him out. I know I have to be in PP in about 3 weeks so will head there then.

Don't think there are a lot of cancer docs here as they are short on faclities for treatment and many khmer get sent to vietnam.Roadie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 1:14 pm Anyone have experience with skin cancer doctors anywhere in the COW. if you are on insurance go to the royal, that is actually bangkok hospital.
If not go to the St louis hospital in bangkok. It is a christian not for profit hospital and it has a cancer unit. i go there regulalry for removing skin tags. Cost me $30 baht. Bunrngrad $300. There is an english trained doctor in the skin clinic on sundays, and the Thai doctors also speak english.

Dr. Bendick used to be at International SOS, or now Raffles. Assume he is still there. With him I'd say you could feel safe that it is quality treatment.
