whats the deal on bags? quite often i find on pp-bkk i wind up only paying between $25 and $50 more that on bangkok airlines than one of the cheapies and i can spend that on food and coffee which i get for free in the bkk lounge. Recenty went pp kl and spend $20 in pp airport on coffee and snacks!

I just got a quote for a weekend in September for $75 return, including the visa aprocessing fee. Nice early flight times too. I've been meaning to make an effort to visit Phuket for ages, now it seems it will be no effort at all. Thanks for the info...

Air Asia charge $12 for using a visa card to pay (ABA account). You can use other payments, like Big Pay but you need to be a Malaysian resident. I haven't looked into the other options.

What's the weather like in September? Pissing down all the time?

its what we call the "green" season
sometimes rain, rough seas, LOW numbers of tourists, great hotel deals
I far prefer it to Dec-may
