Duo accuse soldier of death threats
Two men on Saturday complained to the Kampong Cham provincial police chief that the son of the Kratie provincial military police commander pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot them dead on March 18.
In their letter of complaint, Chan Aktichakpanha, 25, and Ye Chenda, 28, claimed that Major San Sokhom, 30, from the Kampong Cham provincial military police, threatened them while they were playing online games at an Internet café in Kampong Cham city’s Veal Vong commune.
They said that at about 11.45am, Maj Sokhom entered the cafe, caught them and took them to his car, where he pulled out a gun and pointed it at them.
Mr Aktichakpanha and Mr Chenda said that they managed to get out of the car and run back to the café as Maj Sokhom followed them in. They said that he slapped their faces several times and threatened to shoot them.
“Please police officers arrest him and bring him to face justice,” they said in the letter.
