I have to say it: against all odds, Cambodia pulled it off. It was a fantastic event all around, the CAMSOC committee and all the volunteers worked very hard, and it all worked out in the end. I can only speak for the hotel I worked in, but I saw how well it was organized after some initial hiccups. We had over 300 athletes and officials in the hotel and they all had great things to say about the games and indeed Cambodia.

Cambodia to Spend nearly $2 Million to Reward Cambodian SEA Games Medal Winners
By Mom Pitu May 20, 2023 4:37 PM
PHNOM PENH — The Cambodian government expects to spend $1.873 million to recognize the athletes who won the 282 medals for the country in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.

Following the official opening of the 32nd SEA Games, which were held over 12 days from May 5 through 17, the Cambodian team won a total of 282 medals: the most the country had ever won in history. This included 81 gold, 74 silver, and 127 bronze medals.

12th ASEAN Para Games
Image
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: The 12th ASEAN Para Games, hosted by Cambodia, opens on Saturday 3 and closes on Friday June 09, 2023, so do not forget to join the crowd and contribute to the celebration.

Image
This event may be smaller than the SEA Games in both numbers of disciplines as well as athletes, however, these athletes have been training just as hard to participate in the Games this year and deserve our support.
Image
So everyone, please come to encourage our athletes, and all those who have come from other ASEAN countries, to celebrate sports for all people, able-bodied and disabled alike.
