Thieving cop gang

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Do you believe her story?

I mean including all the details? Because some things don't add up easily in the story.
Of course he believes her. He's smitten. But there's nothing in the story that doesn't add up easily and she would have no reason to fabricate it.

Yep, it smells. New police racket. She saw someone post the video on the internet but didn’t believe it to be true.

No allowed to pay on the spot. Police escort to Sangkat (going in the wrong direction), then asking for the big payout to be let go.

Efficient? No. A new creative way of extorting more, yes.

yes, I get nothing from being skeptical. What does it do for you?

Jaywalking isn't illegal, I don't think the concept exists outside of the US.

It exists in most developed countries. It's just not enforced.

Does it exist in Cambodia?

Here we go again,,, everyone looking at the problem which is the end result ,,, and not looking at the cause of the problem.

Wear a helmet when on your bike. No problem.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Beside the rain / umbrella part? (Anyone experienced rain yesterday, rain asking for an umbrella?)

4-5 coppers 'promptly' surrounding missus while pulled over by a copper on a moto.
Coppers asking for collateral after calling for a bike to take her to the Sangkat.
Missus silently sitting on the back of the police moto knowingly going the wrong way while 'a few doors from her house'

I bought a new helmet from Rookie Helmet on St.182 recently ( Great place to buy a good helmet, btw). After I purchased, the guy said this helmet may cause hair fall in one or two years. Has anyone heard about that?

It didn't rain yesterday, your nurse woman should know better than to ride a mororbike without a helmet, shutup.
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

"Wear a helmet when on your bike. No problem." Thousands of foreigners from Sihanoukville from the past decade (myself included) would beg to differ.
