Rotating Power Cuts Have Started

Post by lostjeremy »

Usually see Facebook announcements but haven't yet.

Our power has been off for 5 hours. Called EDC and they said rotating power cuts have begun.
6 hours at a time for different areas.
Not enough electricity to go around according to EDC rep.
Guess those new hydroelectric dams didn't go as planned.
Enjoy some fanless, airconless, hot periods in your near future.

The garment districts around the airport were out for around 12 hours, now restored.

I imagine the areas with the most government officials and okhnas will suffer the least.

I'm not finding an English version. Just show a neighbor and ask if it effects your area.

:voilent4: Power off all day today. But back just now.

But Im in SHV and our power cuts are not rotating - not even with the water cuts. Looks like April will be fun. A lot of small businesses in town are already suffering. Meanwhile the casinos are all lit up like Xmas trees.

Shit, spoke too soon, the lights are flickering already.

You are right, but quite a few can read Khmer.
