E Visa Account
E Visa Account
I used to have an E Visa account which had all my details saved. It was easy to use because all that was needed was the date of travel and payment. I tried to apply for another Visa but there was no ability to login. It seems like I will have to start from the beginning and put all my information in again. Has anyone had this problem? Or is there a different way to login now?
Re: E Visa Account
The whole e-visa system was revamped a couple years ago when the company that supplied the service lost its contract to a competitor.
Re: E Visa Account
Do you really want your passport data to be stored in some database in Cambodia?Tombain51 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:17 pm I used to have an E Visa account which had all my details saved. Re: E Visa Account
Personally, I couldn't care less; most of our private data including, but not limited to, passport details, credit cards, addresses, shopping preferences are already out there unless you live in a cave without electricity or phone signal.Kammekor wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:31 pmDo you really want your passport data to be stored in some database in Cambodia?Tombain51 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:17 pm I used to have an E Visa account which had all my details saved. I do care, and I try to protect my data as much as I can. And it's freakin' difficult these days.hanno wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:37 pmPersonally, I couldn't care less; most of our private data including, but not limited to, passport details, credit cards, addresses, shopping preferences are already out there unless you live in a cave without electricity or phone signal.Kammekor wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:31 pmDo you really want your passport data to be stored in some database in Cambodia?Tombain51 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:17 pm I used to have an E Visa account which had all my details saved. I don't allow hotels to simply copy my passport for instance, and if they insist, I will clearly mark it as a copy for that hotel only. I do the same when any embassy wants a copy. I never allow websites to store my CC number, and i only use my CC over VPN.
Once someone tried to organize a phone lease based on my passport data in my home country, and it was such a hassle to settle it - it scared the hell out of me. Another person sent a parcel to Bulgaria in my name, and the courier tried to charge me based on a copy of my passport provided. Twice bitten thrice shy.
Re: E Visa Account
Thanks for the interesting discussion. To be honest (so far at least) I've never had any problems with data storage being misused at all. In so far as the E Visa is concerned if you apply for one they get all your details if its a once off or have an account anyway! My problem is more having to fill out the form anew every time when I previously had an account. Does anyone know if you can still create an E Visa account or if it has been discontinued?
Re: E Visa Account
The old e-visa portal has been discontinued and replaced by the new e-visa portal.
Go to the new e-visa portal and start using it and you will see exactly how it works.

Re: E Visa Account
Thanks fax and I've tried that but it doesn't appear to give the option of setting up an account. I suppose I'll just go through the whole process again and hope it gives mr the option to store my data for next time !?
Re: E Visa Account
Yes the exact same one and when I click the create an account link nothing happens! So I really don't know what's wrong with it!PSD-Kiwi wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 2:34 pm Are you using the correct (official) e-Visa portal website?
