So strange seeing the artist's concepts, with no overloaded trucks, vans or motos on the road.

And greenery everywhere instead of a barren treeless landscape.

All villages and farms have been moved away as well.

If only Cambodia looked that nice... A toll though? Is this part of the plan?

Yes ,,, It's user pays. Probably free for a while to get people hooked onto the idea of using it.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Got it. That's probably the only idea they could come up with to pay off the interest fees on that Chinese loan
Re: Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Underway
Will the tolls keep off the slow moving 'local' traffic (push bikes, mopeds pulling flatbed delivery carts etc) off the road? If so, it might help prevent the carnage predicted in another previous topic on this subject. Or will they just sneak on and off somehow?
Re: Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway Underway
I'm just realizing this... the Cambodian DOT doesn't have laws/ policies preventing mopeds and tuk tuks from using freeways, right? Not that it would change anything really, but I can already see the kinda shit show it's gonna be if a foreigner runs over a fucktard making a U-turn on the freeway.Doc67 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:14 amWill the tolls keep off the slow moving 'local' traffic (push bikes, mopeds pulling flatbed delivery carts etc) off the road?
