Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Somehow that just doesn't seem right.
Many drivers do it the wrong way, one foot on the brake, one foot on the gas pedal.....
Would that cause the car to overturn several times.
Too much speed, then avoiding action, then hard braking. Probably the classic combination for this.

Add in a possibility of overloaded vehicle, bad maintenance, crap (especially Chinese) tyres as many are, here. Seems to me a fairly predictable outcome.

Nothing wrong with a bit of left foot braking, in right place…

Ah, the typical skills of the average Cambodian taxi driver... I look in admiration....

Khmer driving rules of crossing the median to pass don’t work when driving at 100-140 (or more) kilometers per hour. There’s a whole new set of skills involved to avoid high speed collisions.

Even westerners don’t manage this so well. New cars have all sorts of collision avoidance systems to help.

There will be a steep learning curve in Cambodia.

Hope everything goes well.

What would help on the safety side is those Cambodian car dealers, to stop buying damaged repairable cars, and (cut and shuts) from America and some other countries, and then selling them has what they are not, 99% genuine.
