Never ever trust a census in Cambodia.
The Khmer Rouge did it too in 1975, best trap ever ...

what about children and non cambodian citizens?
the only ones who can vote are cambodians above 18 but the census is for everyone who lives here.

Not sure what you're on about, there was no census in 1975.
I meant, when the khmer rouge invaded PP, they "surveyed" people to know about their background and/or qualification, and we obviously know what they did to these people after (those who were considered as "white collar").
Maybe census is not totally appropriate in this case.

Just had census taker visit. Nothing invasive. Used my D/L for name and never ask for visa or anything.
Age, how long in this house, education, religion, job.
How many: cars, mottos, bicycles, fans, A/C, fridges etc

That's about it.

Yeah, nothing to worry about :-) . They need this info to plan the needs of electricity, water, roads, food, medical facilities etc. Of course they also want to know which foreigners live here and in what position. Like Retired or Business or Scumbag.

Was a bit surprised they use the census to keep track of the number motorcycles, fridges and cars though.....
