Karl Lagerfeld goes to the big dress maker in the sky
Love him or hate him, his influence on fashion was undeniable.
https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-47293612Iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died in Paris following a short illness.
The German designer, who was the creative director for Chanel and Fendi, was one of the industry's most prolific figures and worked up until his death.
His signature ponytail and dark glasses made him an instantly recognisable figure around the world.

Done quiet a few shows for Chanel at Le Grand Palais.
He had the habit (1 day prior to show) of taking just one picture of the setup.
Everybody just sort of stopped working, watching him, waiting for him to take that picture.
If he did, all good. If he didn't, something had to be changed.

Yes, and Bocuse made people fat, Porsche made people kill themselves speeding, and Bill Gates has people jacking off to Internet porn.DrRawBlueGreen wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 5:03 am Yes and his influence in making young girls anorexic too

No love for him here:
https://wearyourvoicemag.com/culture/an ... aZozgeooFMLagerfeld, known for being “the King of Fashion” and a prolific designer who left his mark on the industry, was also an islamophobic, racist, misogynistic, fatphobic rape apologist, whose beliefs and political stances were ignored by millions for the sake of his wealth accumulation and impact as a designer.

I just read the article. In his defense, controversy and show were part of his character. I would also content that many of his views are, silently, shared by a vast majority. Finally, the guy was born way before snowflakes and before everything became a controversy.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 20, 2019 9:43 am No love for him here:

I reckon 95% of Europeans have no issue with that statement. In 2017, Lagerfeld had no issue stating that Syrian and Muslim migrants weren’t welcome in Europe
Yes????“Heidi Klum is no runway model. She is simply too heavy and has too big a bust. And she always grins so stupidly. That is not avant-garde – that is commercial!”
I do not know the statistics, but he is probably not far off the mark. I am missing the continuous outcry about how the food industry makes our children, and us, sick with excessive use of sugars, salt, and additives.“In France there are a large percentage of young girls who are overweight and less than one percent are skinny.

You guys leave hanno alone and let him mourn a fellow Kraut in peace, for Christ's sake.
They're thick as thieves, those Krauts, and anyway, you'll never convince hanno that Lagerfeld was an off-color, pillow-biter.
