Tried it myself.

Kind of accurate but does zero in on things like what we call a bread roĺl. I suspect some are dummy questions with no relevance.

Mrs Stroppy moved from the other side of Australia to join me in the Outback. On arrival we had some getting-to-know-you social engagements, and as soon as she'd speak, my friends/colleagues would look at me and ask "Melbourne?" It drove her nuts!

There's a whole lot of migration within the British Isles, dialects are not much use to anyone who wants to move around.

Brighton & Southend?! You poor sod!

Mine was a bit out; Portsmouth or Cambridge which is a fair way from Ilford, Burnham-on-Crouch (near Southend!) & Dover. Mother from Newcastle & father from Stepney along with those moves was always going to throw it out a bit, but I suppose it did nail a firm “South East” answer.

Apparently if you state the following words in reverse, you pick up an Irish accent - hooked beef oil well.
