Westerners who are Psychopaths

Psychopaths make up about 1 percent of the general population", in Western Countries - from a Google search.
I think that percentage is higher than 1 percent here among the Expat population in Cambodia.
What's your experience or opinion on this, in GENERAL? PLEASE do NOT give any individual names or be specific.

There are many different types of foreigners in Cambodia, good and bad.

For example:

Some are there because they did not fit in well in their country of origin.

Some are there because the beer is cheap.

Some are there because their wife left them.

Yes, there is a higher proportion of people who do not have a good attitude.

If you stay in any of the areas where there are a lot of foreigners, you will realize there are some people you just want to avoid.

You will also meet many good people.

Agree w/ poster.. at least from my experience over the last 7/8 summers... Partly my mistake. I had to take a step back and be like-- Would I put or allow myself to be around certain individuals back in NYC?? Why am i acting differently and not have my guard up in PP?

Random examples-- Lending money- would i do that for a stranger or a person i recently met in nyc?? No..so what changes when traveling/living abroad?
My friendships back home take time etc... Seems like i was on fast forward in PP..and made some errors in judgement..

What kind of psychology degree do you have?

Correct me if I am wrong but psychopaths are free of sympathy and empathy and often violent criminals. We have not have had a single case of a Western serial killer for example. To say that people here are psychopaths because somebody asked to borrow a few quid or you thought it was strange speaking to them is quite insulting to the Western population here as a whole. You're making it sound like 70% are silencing lambs but I can't even think of one.

Yes, of course. However I'm referring to a special category of person, the Psychopath.
