Scottish Teen with Phallic Fundraising Chart is Coming to Cambodia

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

She is going there to work with The Evangelical Alliance Relief (Tear) Fund.
I dont know anything about that group. Lets hope they are doing some good.
Anchor Moy wrote: Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:08 pm IMO she will get more benefit from this "mission" than the poor people she thinks she's saving.
You are probably right. If she decides to stay long term, or return later, she will probably be better at what she is doing in the future.
Anchor Moy wrote: Sun Feb 03, 2019 9:08 pm IMO these groups who want to help Cambodians would be better off paying for local teachers to be properly trained.
From what I have seen, the students with teachers from western countries get a much better education than those with Cambodian teachers.

You may see older people who have been doing what they have been doing for years, and if they are doing something wrong, express your concerns.

With a young person who is doing it for the first time, I like to be nice to them.

Absolutely, let the kids be her test object, so she can gain some experience and help even more “under privileged” children .

Yes, but she is a voluntourist who will be here for what? 10 - 15 days?

That's not good changing teacher every couple of weeks. Agree with Anchor Moy, she'll gain more than the students (but who gives af, they're only poor Cambodian kids).

The Christian church is one of the richest institutions on the planet. Why would she be so cheeky to ask somebody else to pay for her journey.

Shitting himself about the tribes who lived both sides of the wall?

Or stunning prescience that the Scots would arrive there a few centuries later?
