Workers at D. I. Riviera Condos in Phnom Penh Cut Power for Building Over Unpaid Wages

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: It's been reported to CEO that workers at the DI Riviera Condominiums cut the power to the building in protest of unpaid wages, leaving tenants stuck in the building, unless they want to walk down several stories.

D. I. Riviera Condominiums are located on Diamond Island in Phnom Penh.

The workers cut off the power to the building for a few hours and the lift didn't have backup power from a generator, leaving many tenants on higher floors trapped (unless they wanted to walk about a dozen floors or so). The power came back on a bit later, and it was also reported that police came on site to take away a Chinese worker who was attempting to set himself on fire in protest to them not being paid for their work.
